Post radical movements are happening: Caught the train last week to rehearse for a loc showcase I’m involved. There was a white man in his mid to late 40’s talking loudly on his cell phone about a business deal he knew he was going to get. He talked a good 15 minutes with no regard to anyone. The other passengers huffed and puffed, but said nothing. I finally said, it’s your privilege that makes you speak so loudly on this train huh? He said, excuse me? I said, you heard me. Your white privilege. And if I might add you’re obnoxious to assume that we care to hear your conversation. The instant 6 children playing on the tracks stopped the train. The power went out. His privileged ass didn’t respond to my sentiment lol! In fact didn’t speak the rest of the ride. #checkyoprivilege #whiteprivilegeisugly #trainselfies #odunde2014

Dear men that blame women’s bodies for what they see,
Yo’ egos are diseased and playing tricks on you. Got you trippin-wet, appendage swimming in crustaceans, feeling all excited at the notion of taking me home. Energized! Bangin’ hands on chest, entitled like this birthday suite and locs are for you. The appearance of my body is not ‘code’ for take what you want, loose morals, or trash-can-I take you outside and dispose of you-contrary to phallic belief. My body is telling you loud and clear to back the fuck up! Check me out! And no-don’t touch! Femmes are not property. Our bodies are not some benevolent charity fund that needs saving. Our bodies will not apologize for how they exist to you. We have choices and make them. We owe you nothing. There is room on this planet for us to make a consensual choice to be gang banged for fame and get paid for it. Instead of heavily guilt tripped, intoxicated, and forcibly coaxed into it-Like Girl 27, Patricia Douglas, an MGM studio extra, sedated and raped at 15-told it was for the fame-I’m doing you like this to prepare you for the fame. And we will compromise your egos without consent. As a matter of fact you can help us out-take your egos by the hand and lead them into a crowded street. The rest is bound to be a miracle.

Ever tried searching deep down underneath to find who you really are? Only to discover that the person you are searching for underneath is really not that deep at all? I guess that’s when soul searching swiftly becomes soul creation? It’s strange I feel like I’m constantly reinventing my depth-if that makes since? Some people could care less to do that cause they think that simply living the way they do automatically qualifies their depth, but I’ve always cared to reinvent, find alternative ways of existing deeply on the planet. Shit! Perhaps depth is a disease of our time lol! Hmm, or perhaps we put more weighted trust onto the occurrences happening in life, and we minimize ourselves to those experiences-when in reality our very existence is what is the deepest and most rooted part of ourselves? –Gracie

MOVIES AND DOCUMENTARIES CONSTANTLY REMIND US WE SHOULD NEVER FORGET
The holocaust. Never forget 9/11, but we’re constantly reminded we should get over slavery??

As a liberated woman of color in all my activism I say hands down this is femme glitter queen. This look is the epitome of my pussy power and the worth that we set forth. In solidarity this line is for you Riri: “No matter if you wear tight skirts or no skirts at all, phuck lots of people or none at all, don’t be bullied- cause consent is sexy! Wine your pussy in some slow, sensual, gyrating motion saying phuck misogyny, phuck patriarchy, phuck any and all systems of violence oppressing and perpetuating crimes against pussy’s!” (excerpt from pussy riot poem by Gracie Berry). Thank you for living every bit of your gorgeous blackness, boldly, unapologetic-ally, empowering to all women all over the globe.
