NBA Bans Donald Sterling For Life

“This league is far bigger than any one owner, any one coach and any one player,” Silver said. “We stand together in condemning Mr. Sterling’s views,” Silver said. “They simply have no place in the NBA.” Sterling acknowledged he was the man on the tape, Silver said. Sterling is immediately barred from attending any NBA games or practices, be present at any Clippers office or facility, or participate in any business or player personnel decisions involving the team. He also cannot participate in any league business going forward.

Donald Sterling Reportedly Caught on Tape Making Racist Remarks to Girlfriend

In response to his girlfriend saying that she can’t be racist in her heart: “I’m living in a culture and I have to live within the culture. So that’s the way it is. That’s all. I got it. I got the whole message. You live with your heart. I want you to love them-privately.” I’m sickened that she apologizes over and over for being black and associating with black people. I’m disturbed at his childlike tantrum in defense of his precious white privilege not to be publicly associated with black people. How he combats every painful truth she expresses to him with hatred and ignorance. At one point he disgustingly yelled that she was a born fighter. Every action he took against her was dismissive, accusatory, and vengeful. Donald Sterling is a slave master. He benefits from a system designed to protect him and people that look like him. He reaps undeserved benefits at the expense of people of color. He represents millions more just like him. This is the mind sickness that plagues our world. In my opinion people like him don’t deserve to take up space on the planet.

Rest in Power Karyn Washington

Rest in Power Karyn Washington

She entered my dream this morning. Lying on a bed in a dim lit room. Orange. I remember seeing lots of orange. Then it happened. The nature is too disturbing, too graphic to share the details. Know that her eyes were the first to see. They were filled with goodness-release. She smiled bearing no weight at all. She lay back on her bed. Warmth filled every orifice, every nerve, every tendon, every shattered dream. She drifted into happy. -Gracie Berry.
