Singer R. Kelly's Child Transgender and Loving Life

“She was very proud of me. I was like, ‘Thank you, Mum, for accepting the fact that I’m a transgender.’ And same with my sister, she told me that she was proud of me and respects me by calling me handsome and calling me her little brother now, and I love her for that.’ One of the most non-judgmental articles out there about Jay.

Odunde 2014 Philadelphia African Street Party!

Wish we would’ve got pics before the dancing. There was no one but us out there Nia Darling and Grateful-y Gracious Kah-y Aam Twerking. DJ was killing that music shit lol! Image

We literally stood on the corner where people entered the festival and not a soul was dancing but me ash and neez. People watched for a while then started bopping their heads, stomping their feet. It was like magic! Like that magic, misfits and Gracie Berry brings! People gravitated toward our energy as Quenton Bagado would say lol!

Nia posted today that dance was my life. I cried reading the post Neez. Anyone that loves me, shares space with me knows this so much. I’m resilient against the physical pain just to tap my feet, throw my body, limbs spirit into the groove of the sounds. Thank you so much for capturing this!

White Privilege is Ugly and So Damn Intrusive

Post radical movements are happening: Caught the train last week to rehearse for a loc showcase I’m involved. There was a white man in his mid to late 40’s talking loudly on his cell phone about a business deal he knew he was going to get. He talked a good 15 minutes with no regard to anyone. The other passengers huffed and puffed, but said nothing. I finally said, it’s your privilege that makes you speak so loudly on this train huh? He said, excuse me? I said, you heard me. Your white privilege. And if I might add you’re obnoxious to assume that we care to hear your conversation. The instant 6 children playing on the tracks stopped the train. The power went out. His privileged ass didn’t respond to my sentiment lol! In fact didn’t speak the rest of the ride. ‪#‎checkyoprivilege‬ ‪#‎whiteprivilegeisugly‬ #trainselfies #odunde2014
